fp cottagesWe are a beef farm and have converted some redundant stone courtyard barns into four fantastic oak beamed cottages with modern facilities throughout, all finished to an exceptional standard.  Party Barn coming Autumn 2015 for larger groups. 

Nestled below Crooks Peak on the edge of the Somerset Mendips Hills and amidst Somerset's famous cider making and Cheddar strawberry growing area, the cottages form an 'L' shaped courtyard which is next to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Currently there are 4 self catering cottages which can be booked individually or for group bookings furnished and fitted to a very high, contemporary standard:

 
  • GOLIGHTLY (named after a famous racehorse who used to live in this stable) accommodates 7 adults & 1 baby
  • KITTY (named after a farm work horse) accommodates 4 adults & 1 baby
  • POPPY accomodates 7 adults + 1 baby in 3 bedrooms
  • TIARKS (named after the family that used to reside at the Webbington Hotel) accommodates 7 adults & 1 baby - and has the benefit of being on one level and is therefore suitable for the elderly and less mobile.

Each cottage has full central heating throughout. The kitchens are fully equipped with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven/hob and microwave. The lounges/dining areas have leather suites, wide screen TV with FreeSat, Midi HiFi, DVD, a sound system and Wifi. The bedrooms for GOLIGHTY consist of one triple (double & single), one twin and one bunk bed room, KITTY has 1 double and 2 single beds, and TIARKS has 1 double bed, 2 single beds and 1 double sofa bed, while POPPY has 1 double ensuite, 1 triple (double & single) and 1 twin. The bathrooms have a "P" bath/shower, shaver point, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.

Directly outside the properties is a large patio area equipped with individual outdoor furniture. The large, communal and enclosed gardens and children's activity play area are located across the courtyard.

 

Practicalities:

Self Catering Rates: All inclusive of all power, bed linen and towels (not swimming or hot tub), along with Spa day pass (indoor pool, sauna, steam room, tennis courts and gym) and a Somerset goodies welcome pack.

From Bristol: Take A38 south for approximately 15 miles. Pass through Sidcot and then at Cross turn right before the New Inn Pub and follow signs for Webbington and The Webbington Hotel & Spa. * Pass the hotel entrance on the right hand side and at the small crossroads, turn right into Barton Road and then turn immediately left into Webbington Farm. The cottages are located on the right hand side on entering the farm.

From Burnham-on-Sea: Leave M5 at Junction 22 and follow A38 signs marked for Bristol/Cheddar for 6 miles. With The Lamb Inn pub on your left take the next turning left into Old Coach Road which is also signposted for Webbington and The Webbington Hotel & Spa. Then follow directions above from * (above).

Arrival Time: 1530 hours

Departure Time: 1000 hours

Weekend/Short Breaks: Available outside of main holiday seasons.

High Chair/Travel Cot: Available on request - Please provide own bed linen and pillow to be provided for travel cot.

Childminding: Can be arranged.

Nearest Train Stations: Weston-super-Mare (15 minutes by car), Bristol Temple Meads (30 minutes) & Brisgtol Parkway (40 minutes).

Nearest Airport: Bristol International (20 minutes by car).

Parking: Ample on site parking.

Pets: Sorry not accepted except for Guide Dogs.

Infirm/Less Mobile: Tiarks Cottage is located on one level.

Wifi: Yes

Shopping: All major supermarkets deliver to the cottages. The nearest shops are located in Winscombe (3 mile) and Axbridge or Cheddar (3-5 miles).

Books/DVDs/Games: Selection provided.

Recycling: Central point is provided for recycling paper, cans, plastics and bottles

Children's Play area & BBQ: Located in large, secure communal gardens.

Chef: Available to prepare a meal for you in your cottage or provide you with a buffet or hot/cold meal for you to eat at your leisure.

Beautician: Please enquire for details. Treatments can be undertaken in your cottage or at The Webbington Hotel & Spa.

Claypigeon/Pheasant Shoots: Can be arranged.

Day Passes available for Webbington Indoor Leisure facilities (indoor pool, sauna, tennis courts and gym).
